MY VITA AS SONNET
A public school kid though raised a Lutheran,
MICHAEL KRAMER’s taught a trio of schools,
published a few score poems, run
a 7-11, cleaned toilets, worked other jewels
to earn his keep. Retired now, he hikes
national and state parks, walks beaches,
loves art and theater, travels, likes
his gardening, has painted houses (at least his).
Kramer, married to Rebecca, fathered four
(pastor, architect, teacher, ex-Army captain),
teaches a Sunday Bible study, and, more,
remains a child of God – His plan
an ongoing wonder; His world, His making
(the English word for poem), breath-taking.

Pamela Jenkins
currently looking for a home…
The journey begins for Pamela Jenkins when the widow inherits an entailed cottage in a small English village. She needs to reside in Spinster Cottage for six months to take possession and embraces the opportunity for what her husband called “life’s greatest adventure — meeting new people and seeing new places.”
Amongst the villagers and their distinctive personalities and customs, Pamela finds her own identity in a series of events ranging from dancing before Salisbury Cathedral with the villagers on Oak Apple Day to hiking the Lake District with her new friend Beatrice Bottoms to the marriage of her daughter to the rector of Great Wishford’s St. Giles Church.
She uncovers a centuries’ old murder, helps a young student with reading disabilities, bakes squaw bread, survives sexual harassment, and goes walking in the moonlight with a gentleman handyman.
A picaresque novel ranging over fifteen months, Pamela Jenkins follows a woman who finds that she is indeed strong and independent.

Seated, harp at rest, you’ve waited
buried, excavated, glass encased…
I’ve written poetry since age 5. Beginning in the ’80’s, I evolved stylistically towards an accentual meter, working often in traditional forms.
Currently reading Celia Thaxter, I have a manuscript – PAINTING THE BACK OF THE GARDEN FENCE & OTHER COMMONALITIES: A LITURGY – awaiting publication.
